Mrs. Jan
Director
Hello! My name is Jan Cladis, Director of Our Savior Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten. I have had the privilege of working at OSLP&K since 2004. I have taught at every level and became Director in 2021. It is such a blessing to come to work each day surrounded by a caring and devoted staff who believes in teaching the whole child; Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical and Emotional. We pride ourselves with giving each child a quality education, but more importantly, we teach children to be kind, compassionate, and to share God’s love with the world. Our Savior Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten is more than a school, we are a family. I am grateful to come to work each day doing a job that I love.

Teacher - Kindergarten
Hello everyone! My name is Ginna Gatlin. My family and I relocated from Indiana, where I had the opportunity to open my own preschool and daycare. I have always had a passion for teaching children. I am very excited that I have had the opportunity to join OSLP&K. I went to Indiana University for early education and then to Phoenix University to further my degree. It’s very rewarding to see children grow in confidence and academics throughout the school year. This is the reason I have dedicated my career to early childhood education as it gives me happiness, purpose, and intent to ensure that every child has an opportunity to learn. I look forward to meeting you and your family in the future.

Teacher - 4 yr olds, Pre-K
I professionally began part time as a Culinary Assistant, then as a full time Teacher’s Assistant, and now currently as a full time Lead Pre-K teacher. I also thankfully was able to have my own children go through the entire program, so I know what it feels like to have had OSLPK in our personal home as a parent as well. I have always had a passion for helping others especially young children. I was able to have some work experience with special needs children through Easter Seals and continued to study Early Childhood Education at Joliet Junior College. I have a sincere passion to make the child’s experience at OSLPK one that brings not only academic growth but socially, emotionally, and spiritually as well. My favorite moment with a child is seeing their own face light up because of how proud they are of accomplishing something on their own. I am here to cheer them on every step of the way during the school year. My hope is to make my classroom feel like a second home to the child and their family.

Teacher's Assistant
Hi! My name is Janine Rogers. I have been in Early Childhood Education since 2016. I was a part of the Our Savior Lutheran Preschool family from 2016-2019 and have recently returned as a 4 year old Preschool Teacher. During my time away (2019-2023), I taught preschool at a center in North Plainfield. I have always loved working with children and have a strong passion for what I do. When I am not teaching or helping in the classroom, I enjoy being with my family. I have 2 daughters ages 2 and 4. I also volunteer in the children's ministry at my church. I went to the University of St. Francis where I completed my Bachelor's degree.
Hello! I am Gina Martin. I have been working at Our Savior Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten since 2008, first as a Teacher’s Assistant and as Lead Teacher since 2010. I earned my Associate Degree in the applied science of Child Development at Joliet Junior College in 2009 and I am Director-Qualified, as well. In teaching preschool age students, I find it most fulfilling when a child accomplishes (what seems to be) a small task in independence, such as zipping a jacket or serving snack. Those things can be very frustrating for a child and the process itself is so important. To see the pride on a child’s face after working so hard day after day to achieve a task –it’s just so rewarding!
Hi! My name is Tammy Ferguson. I am very excited to be a teacher’s assistant here at OSLPK. I am a mother of twin daughters and live in the Joliet area. I enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds, especially camping! I have been volunteering in children’s ministries with my home church since 2017. I find working with young children truly rewarding. Watching them grow and develop through play and education is such a treat!

Teacher's Assistant
I am excited to join OSLP&K as a first-year teacher assistant. With a degree in fine arts specializing in fashion design, I initially found my passion for education through volunteering at the school last year. Spending time with the children brought me immense joy, and I look forward to nurturing their growth and curiosity.
As a parent of two students here, I understand the importance of creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. My family and I live in the Joliet area, where we love spending time outdoors and enjoying family activities. I can’t wait to embark on this journey of learning and exploration with the kids!
